The Demons face a do-or-die encounter this Sunday against a Burras team it lost to in round 16.
“On the previous result, we definitely do. Ladder positions are irrelevant at this time of year. It’s literally a 50-50 game,” Pyke said.
The Demons are fronting from a qualifying final loss to Gordon and will look to progress along the same cutthroat path they did en route to last year’s premiership.
After being a surprise inclusion last weekend, Pyke said important defender Mitch Bruns was still struggling with a hamstring/gluteus maximus issue, but rated him a chance to come up for the match at Learmonth.
Hepburn is up and about after beating Beaufort, but Burras coach Clive Raak isn’t talking up the victory over the Demons a few weeks ago.
“It gives us a bit of belief, but anything can happen in finals,” Raak said.
PREDICTION: Bungaree by three goals.
