POLICE are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a woman in the neck at a bus stop in Ballarat.
Investigators have been told that the man approached the woman from behind around 2.40pm, and stabbed her in the neck at the corner Sturt Street and Lydiard Street South.
The 27-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and has been transported to Ballarat Base Hospital.
The man is described as about 30 years old, 183 centimetres tall with an orange goatie and orange hair.
He was wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.
Anyone who sees the man is urged to contact 000 immediately.
