CARISBROOK will collide with Navarre in next Sunday's
Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League grand final after defeating minor premier Lexton by 38 points in yesterday's preliminary final.
The Redbacks had the Tigers on the back foot all day, eventually running out 13.15 (93) to 7.13 (55) winners at Maryborough's Princes Park.
After a poor second and third term, the Tigers got to within four goals, but then Jake Bucknall, a surprise inclusion after missing many weeks through injury, kicked a big goal to answer the challenge.
When Pat Jenes kicked his third goal midway through the term it was game over, as livewire Marcus Emmett completely finished the Tigers off with two outstanding passes to Travis Cornwill and Brendan Lloyd, which resulted in goals.
On Saturday Navarre booked its own place in the decider with a 13.10 (88) to 9.11 (65) victory over Maldon at Hedges Oval.
