WILLIAMSTOWN reinforced standalone clubs can have the power in VFL. The Seagulls claimed their first Victorian Football League premiership since 2003 with a 54-point win against the powerful Hawthorn-aligned Box Hill Hawks at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. This is the Seagulls’ second season in a return to going standalone. North Ballarat Roosters have ended ties with partner North Melbourne and will fly solo next season. Oakleigh Chargers went back-to-back in TAC Cup under-18 premierships.
