CHFL: Beaufort juniors undefeated until the end

It ALL went to plan for Beaufort.

The Crows capped off their undefeated year by claiming the under 15 Central Highlands Football League premiership, proving too good for Dunnstown by 18 points at Eureka Stadium on Saturday.

It was Beaufort's pace and energy that proved the difference, as the Towners struggled to keep up with their speedy opponents.

Dunnstown's inaccuracy (4.11) also proved costly and only helped to serve the Crows' momentum.

Towners' captain Brayden Leonard was awarded best on ground by the umpires after a sterling effort in a losing side, while Beaufort midfielder Lakota Stranks was seemingly everywhere in an outstanding performance.

Beaufort coach Brien Leckie was delighted with the efforts of his team.

"I'm very proud of them," he said.

"It all started in the pre-season. It was hard but none of them dropped their heads.

"They've done everything that I asked of them."

Beaufort won all quarters except the last, as the Crows took the foot off the pedal late with the knowledge that they had sealed the game.

Sam Leckie and Lachlan Pfiefer were both excellent for the victors, while Dunnstown's Hasker Dawborn presented well up forward.
