Ballarat CBD stabbing: man fronts court

A MAN accused of stabbing a woman in central Ballarat on Friday has appeared in court this morning.

Dressed in a blue prison issued tracksuit and no shoes or socks, Luke Martin Warren, 31, sat between two police officers in the dock of Ballarat Magistrates Court during the brief hearing.

His lawyer Hamish Locke made no application for bail on Warren’s behalf.

Warren has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury and assault with a weapon, relating to the alleged stabbing on Friday.

The hearing before magistrate Kay Robertson was adjourned to December 13.
