THEATRE performer John O’Hara will channel his inner ‘Love God’ in the Oddie Gallery. O’Hara’s celebrated show Dedications pieces together pop and classic love ballads, from Leonard Cohen to Kiss and Taylor Swift, inspired by Richard Mercer’s late night radio show, Love Songs and Dedications.

In his 70-minute, one-man show O’Hara inhabits multiple characters, most recurring, to follow their confession and heartache to the Love God.
“I’d listen driving home from work and it struck me as amazing the same people call back in...he’s like a therapist and priest,” O’Hara said. “why do people call in to an anonymous man in the dark late at night. They’re all really connected with each other.”
O’Hara, with co-writer and director Anthony Harkin, said audiences quickly related to the power ballads they have reconstructed in a fast-paced and funny show.
