Organised by the Rotary Club of Ballarat, the event will be held at the Novotel Forest Resort in Creswick on Sunday, October 18.
Co-ordinator Joan Williams said the event would be the perfect opportuntity for a day out with friends with fabulous fashion, a delicious high tea and tranquil surrounds of the forest.
“The atmosphere will be glamorous from the moment they step out of the car,” she said.
“Guests will walk a red carpet where they will be greeted by two doormen. Once in the foyer a quartet from the Ballarat Symphony Orchestra will be playing and they will receive a complementary glass of sparkling wine or soft drink.”
Following high tea, those attending will be able to watch models strut their stuff on the catwalk, as nine fashion houses in Ballarat go on show with the latest in children's wear, young fashion, sporting, lady day wear, evening wear, race wear, men's wear and vintage. Lucky door prizes will also be handed out.
Ms Williams said Ballarat hair stylists, beauty make-up artists and local businesses had been very supportive of the event.
Ballarat councillor Samantha McIntosh and SpringFest ambassador and radio personality Jules Zass will share MC duties on the day.
SpringFest in an initiative of the Rotary Club of Ballarat and consists of a number of events held over the spring months culminating in the SpringFest Market on Sunday, November 29.
Executive member for the Rotary Club of Ballarat, Grey Honeyman said it was the second time the Fashion Fiesta had been run.
“We did something similar last year, but that was on a smaller scale,” he said.
“It was really well supported and so we thought we would do it much bigger this year and when Novotel came on board with their offer of the conference centre and food and drink at no cost to us, it was too good to refuse.
“Last year our SpringFest activities raised more than $76,000 for Ballarat beneficiaries. This year our target is $100,000.”
Bookings for single tickets up to tables of eight to the SpringFest Fashion Fiesta can be done online at www.ballaratspringfest.com.au.
“Where else would you be able to enjoy a high tea and see a beautiful fashion parade for only $50?” Ms Williams said.
