Ballarat businesses are being encouraged to register teams for this Sunday’s Run Ballarat to be in the running for the Corporate Challenge.

Small (up to 20), medium (20-200) and large (200+) business teams are welcomed. Each category with the most registrations wins a perpetual shield.

Already a number of businesses have put themselves in the running including Adroit Insurance Group, Mulcahy and Co, ST Aerospace, Ballarat Property Group and NAB.

Jessica Mead, from Adroit said participating in the event was a great way for local businesses to get involved in their community.

“We've been going for runs after work and going to the gym together,” she said. “We're a pretty close knit team and this is just a great bonding exercise.

“We want to get competition going between businesses and get as many people as possible to help raise money for the Children's Ward at Ballarat Health Services.

“So come down and support the cause.”
