Although the band members were relatively new to the music world, they were armed with ideas and passion which saw them reach great heights.
“At first, I was doing some demos in my bedroom and eventually met my friend Sean at a gig and we started talking about music we liked and ideas about our own individual projects,” the band’s singer Caleb Karvountzis said.
Comprised of Karvountzis (vocals, guitar), Sean Mullins (guitar), Clancy Bond (drums) and Al Yamin (bass), Tiny Little Houses is now excited to bring their debut EP to the masses.
Entitled You Tore My Heart Out, the EP features the new single Soon We Won’t Exist as well as much-loved single Easy which was promptly earmarked as one of the best songs of 2015.
The track quickly earned the band high rotation on triple j, mass acclaim across community radio and a plum spot at Bigsound 2015.
Karvountzis said the band always had a good feeling about Easy.
“I thought it would do well but you can never really tell with these things until you get them out there,” he said.
Next year, we can expect big things from Tiny Little Houses, with the quartet hoping to get recording with their debut album.
Tiny Little Houses will perform at Karova Lounge on October 17.
