Maureen Robertson, Wilma Jenkins, Dorothy Newey and Beryl King scored an eight against Ballarat in division three on Monday.
They helped pave the way for a 14-shot win for the day.
Promoted teams showed they will be competitive across the competition with natural improvement as the season progresses.
New division four teams Buninyong, Ballarat and Invermay should also have been pleased with their games.
Invermay had a win over Sebastopol.
The BDBD women’s over-60s singles championship begins at Webbcona next Tuesday.

THE Valerie Page and Elaine Webster Shields will be played in Geelong on Friday, November 20, with the venue still to be announced.
The BDBD selection committee has sent club secretaries a form for expressions of interest from bowlers available to play.
Teams will selected from players who lodge names.
Forms are to be returned to Liz Kierce by Thursday, October 29.
