To celebrate Victorian Seniors Festival, the woollen mills is offering free self-guided tours of its popular ‘A Very Fine Yarn Exhibition’ for the month of October.
Free return buses from the Ballarat Train Station to the Creswick Woollen Mills will run on Saturday and Sunday.
Creswick Woollen Mills site manager Debbie Hatfield said the exhibition was a good opportunity for seniors to learn about the history of the mill.
“We are all about natural fibre so they can see how natural fibres are processed,” Ms Hatfield said.
The woollen mills is also celebrating Merino Wool Month with “Shearer Tom” conducting shearing demonstrations on Saturday between 11am and 3pm.
