Six people have been arrested and remanded to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday after police found drugs, firearms, counterfeit money and cash in the city's west.

Victoria Police media officer Belinda Batty said the discovery was made following a joint operation targeting organised crime syndicates on Friday.
"Members from the Altona North Divisional Response Unit, Embona Taskforce, Special Operations Group, Dog Squad, local Crime Investigation Unit members and Australian Federal Police executed five warrants in Braybrook and St Albans," Ms Batty said.
"The warrants were the result of Operation Paratroopers, targeting organised crime syndicates operating in the western suburbs of Melbourne."
Ms Batty said the warrants allegedly uncovered drugs including ice, heroin, ecstasy, GHB, pseudoephedrine and prescription medication.
"Police also seized firearms including shotguns and rifles, ammunition, counterfeit money and equipment, stolen goods and a large quantity of cash," she said.
"Six people were arrested and remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court today [Saturday]."
Ms Batty said a 25-year-old St Albans man was charged with drug and weapons-related offences; a 24-year-old Braybrook man was charged with drug, weapons and counterfeit money-related offences; a 39-year-old Braybrook woman has been charged with drug, weapons, counterfeit money and theft-related offences.
A 43-year-old Braybrook man has also been charged with drug, weapons, counterfeit money and theft-related offences; a 32-year-old Braybrook woman has been charged with drug, outstanding warrants and traffic-related offences; a 24-year-old Braybrook man has been charged with drug-related offences.
