It has been a busy week for the Grand Master, who is in his 80s, filled with training sessions and assessments about Ballarat in the Okinawan Shorin Ryu Matsumura Seito style karate.
But the 10th dan leader made sure time at Sovereign Hill fit in his schedule. He had visited once before and was keen to return amid 50th anniversary celebrations for Ballarat Karate Club.
“He has an eye for heritage and history,” Ballarat Karate Club director Barry Packham said. “His lineage is about 3000 years in the style of karate he practices.”
