Having come so close to victory last year, the Vics will be desperate to take vengeance for the last time these two sides met – when the Grovers won the grand final by just four shots.
They come up against a side in absolute flying form, with Ocean Grove starting off its season with a thumping 83-shot victory over Avenue last week.
However, Victoria is more than capable of saluting for the victory, especially on its home deck.
It recorded a comfortable 14-shot first-up win over premier division newcomers City Oval last week, getting its season off to an ideal start.
The draw this week sees Ballarat clubs coming up against Geelong sides in every game.
Given Geelong’s dominace last year (barring Victoria), it could give an early indication as to the evenness of this season’s competition.
