The federal government's recent announcement that they will increase funding to education by adopting the recommendations of the Gonski Review is to be applauded.
The next step is to ensure that our state Baillieu government also commits wholeheartedly to directing more funds towards education, as well as ensuring their policies support education to guarantee our kids have the best possible support throughout their growing years.
Education really is the cornerstone of our society and, therefore, it's imperative that we ensure each and every student is well supported and has every opportunity to reach their full potential while they are within our education systems.
This will only happen if education is adequately funded and supported.
