Ballarat City Rowing Club continued a stellar start to the season with a 10-gold medal haul at the Hamilton and Nestles Regatta.

The female squad was the stand-out performer with the crew of Danielle Foley, Laura Foley, Claire Boatman, Katelin Cartledge and cox Andrew Larrson, taking gold in the C grade quad scull and C grade four. They combined with Sian Blohm, Vanessa McCallum, Penny Johnston and Amanda Collins to win female C grade eight. Blohm, Johnston, Collins and Laura Foley also took out D grade four.
Ballarat City also claimed gold in the male D grade quad scull and male D grade four, male D grade single scull, male masters single scull, male masters double scull and open mixed coxed four.
“It’s so important to support regional clubs and compete at these regattas. You can get a lot out of them as a rower,” club coach Jordan O’Keefe said.
