”It’s something I’ll never forget,” Mallia said after spending two three-minute rounds in the ring with Green in Melbourne on Tuesday.
He said it had been a great learning curve.
Mallia said he had traded punches with Green, but not troubled by any of the blows.
Green’s trainer Angelo Hyder invited the Mallia to be part of sparing session late last month after seeing the emerging Ballarat boxer defeat New South Wales light heavyweight champion Allen Stevens on points in Sydney.

It was an opportunity Mallia and his trainer Ian Fear jumped at it.
Green is preparing for a fight against Germany’s Konni Konrad in Melbourne on Wednesday, December 2.
Mallia said at the time that it was a huge honour to be asked to spar with Green.
He did not only have the sparring session on Tuesday.
Hyder and Green also spent about 30 minutes in the ring with him working on technique and providing other advice.
Mallia said they had given him pointers which he would now work on to improve his glove craft.
Mallia, who has already won an Australian Golden Gloves title and been a national championship runner-up, will now prepare for state championships.
IN other boxing news, Anthony Mundine has dedicated his Wednesday night fight against American Charles Hatley to the family of late Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes.
Speaking at the weigh-in ahead of his WBC Silver super welterweight title in Melbourne, Mundine said he was very close to Hughes, who died almost a year ago during a match in Sydney.
