The national street stocks championships will be at the Buninyong speedway on March 11,12 and 13.
Redline consistently showcases the best street stocks racing in Victoria, with 40 cars in the class at meets common.
Street stocks will also be to the forefont in the season opener with more than 30 lining up.
This will be a prelude to the “King of the Mount”' at Redline on Saturday, November 28, with drivers taking the opportunity to fine tune their cars in readiness for the feature.
Victorian champion Brad McClure from Geelong headlines the field, which delivers the Holden versus Ford rivalry.
He will be joined by the likes of Morris Ahearn, Ballarat's Shaun Henry, Redline member Jason Degoldi, Lenny Bates and Darren Forrest, who was a regular winner on the circuit last season.
McClure boasts an outstanding record.
He is a three-time Australian champion (2006, 2009 and 2011) and has three state title under his belt, with 2004, 2006 and last year.
McClure also just missed out on another national title last year, finishing second.
He looks like being extremely hard to beat on a circuit he has had wins on in each of the past three seasons.
He won at Redline twice last season.
McClure is also a winner this season, having saluted at Ellenbrook in Western Australia.
Saturday’s program also includes unlimited sedans, standard saloon and thunder V8 sedans, which have not long been approved as a class.
Gates open at 2pm with racing from 5pm
