YOU wouldn't know it just from watching him play during this year's BFL finals, but four-time Henderson Medallist Jarrod Edwards has things on his mind other than football.
The 33-year-old Redan multiple premiership player became a dad again with the birth of his second daughter Pippa just 10 days ago.
It has been a busy few weeks in the Edwards household. While partner Claire Sanford was in hospital with Pippa, "Jezza" had to manage his plumbing business and take care of elder daughter Maddison, who is nearly two. Add to that preparing for finals and it's amazing that Edwards has the energy he does.
"From a football point of view it is not ideal," he laughs. "But I played an OK game on Saturday.
"(Pippa) was due on (BFL) grand final day. Instead she was born on the Monday after we played North City.
"I was flat stick with work, footy training and visits to the hospital."
On the positive, after the past fortnight, taking on Ross Sleight, Pat Cariss, Jay Cheep and co might seem easy by comparison.
