The Arts Revolution Collective hub is located at Sturt Street by Unicorn Lane.
It is a communal, commercial studio space dedicated to helping artists gain exposure, sell their work and share their skills.
Hub co-founder Astrid Thiebault said The A.R.C provided a space and support network for artists in a bid to ease the pressure of unemployment.
She said each of the collective’s members had a unique set of skills and could offer a range of services either through freelance work or directly from the shop.
“Currently we have graphic designers, photographers, seamstresses, tattooists, musicians and more,” Ms Thiebault said.
“We provide a range of services. People can come in and request something and we will collaborate to produce the product.
“You name it and we will be able to do it.”
Earlier this year, The A.R.C launched a crowdfunding effort in a bid to open the hub, but unfortunately fell short of their target.
As a result, the collective’s members joined forces and are currently paying to rent the space until the hub can sustain itself.
Ms Thiebault said the hub had the potential to create more than 50 jobs, providing opportunities for young artists who were unable to afford an outlet space of their own.
“We have a lot of friends who are creative but don’t have an outlet so we’re trying to create jobs for them and for anyone really,” she said.
“Sometimes all we need is the confidence to produce without having to worry about overheads.”
Ms Thiebault said the collective encouraged collaboration and skill sharing, and had a lot of artistic equipment on-hand and ready to use.
“We are a new collective and are looking to grow, to reach out to other like-minded groups and create a strong community that can make a real difference in Ballarat and beyond.”
