The 39-year-old has signed with the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League side on a one-year deal, replacing Greg Stewart.
His contract allows an option for a second season.
Beacham most recently coached Ballarat’s under-18 interleague football squad between 2011-2015. He has also featured at Daylesford, Learmonth and the North Ballarat Rebels.
He says the possibility of a flag lured him to the Maryborough-based club.
“After a few years away from club footy I have the passion back, and the opportunity to coach a team which is clearly on the up was an opportunity which was too good to refuse,” Beacham said.
Meanwhile, former Ballan coach Mark Williams has also found a new home.
Williams, who this season led Ballan to its first finals appearance since 2003, will be the inaugural senior coach of Newport Power in the Western Region Football League.
