An elderly man chased a schoolgirl as she rode home in a frightening pursuit down a street in a country town, north of Melbourne.

The girl, eight, was riding her bike home from school with her brothers about 3.45pm on Thursday, October 29, along Station Avenue, at Heathcote Junction when the chase occurred.
She rode passed a parked car - possibly a white station wagon - at the intersection of Station and Messmate avenues.
An elderly man then got out of the car, threw some red and green liquid onto the nature strip, and chased her for about 35 metres.
He is described as elderly and wearing a grey top and pants, possibly a suit.
Police on Saturday released a composite image of a man they want to speak to about the incident.
