The 40 brewers from Australia and the USA will be showcasing limited edition beers alongside their year-round mainstays to impress the 5000 expected punters.
New South Wales brewery Young Henrys will be showcasing their limited edition pale ale Brew Am I, brewed as an ode to the festivals headliners, You Am I.
The beer is made using ingredients from Western Australia, Victoria and New Zealand, representing the areas the band members originate from.
“We thought it would be a perfect tie in,” said Dan Hampton from Young Henrys.
Ballarat based brewers Rebellion Brewing will be showcasing their 10th anniversary brew, an orange rind infused porter made with organic cocoa.
Like all of their beers under the O’Brien label, the limited edition porter will appeal to the gluten intolerant festival goers.
Rebellion director Andrew Lavery said while the beer was unusual, the Beer Festival crowd would be the right audience for the brew.
“It’s not the usual sort of flavours you’re expecting.”
Gippsland based brewery Grand Ridge will also be launching a number of beers at the festival, with a new limited edition pale and golden ale set to be unveiled at the event.
The festival takes place on January 16.
