Sam Stosur calls for patience as Australian women's production line stalls

If Sam Stosur was preparing to join Lleyton Hewitt in retirement, the 2011 US Open champion would be leaving Australian women's tennis in a parlous state. The fact that Stosur, with fellow veteran Casey Dellacqua, is one of only two Australian-born women in the world's top 250 suggests the local production line has stalled.
