New bail laws have been designed to capture serious adult offenders, including those charged with manslaughter, intentionally causing serious injury, and armed robbery, who show deliberate disregard for bail conditions.The Bill reverses the presumption in favour of granting bail to people charges with serious offences if they have convictions for failing to appear on bail in the last five years.
