The cup pitted businesses and organisations from around Ballarat against each other in the 16 person boats, with all funds raised from the event going towards the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute.
Fiona Elsey fundraising and communications manager Dave McMahon said the event provided a great opportunity for members of the business community to take part in Springfest.
“It’s about the business community and the community at large getting together and having some fun.”
One of the two entered by Federation University featured students from partner universities in New Zealand and Timor Leste, who had been in Ballarat for a residential student leadership program.
“We thought it was a great opportunity to show the best that Ballarat had to offer,” Federation University’s campus life director Colin Marshall said.
The event was won by Mars, with Telstra taking out second place and Federation University’s Team A taking home the bronze.
