In a surprise result, Webconna proved too good for Sebastopol, winning 99-85.
Webbcona entered the match in eighth position on the ladder and badly out of form, after a promising start to the season.
On the other hand, Sebastopol was in tip-top shape.
It didn't show on the weekend, however, with Webbcona claiming three rinks to one in a convincing victory.
Webbcona men's secretary Leah McArthur said it was a terrific day for the club.
"It was really pleasing," McArthur said.
"The greens were lovely, the conditions were perfect and the team gelled together really well.
"We managed to get a good start, which was good. At lunchtime we were up 38 shots. We just had to hold on – and we did."
The highlight for the afternoon was Brett Mahoney's side, which held on to win by a solitary shot in a nail-biter.
Ben McArthur's and Aaron Wood's brigades enjoyed a more comfortable outing, with each rink winning by eight shots over their Sebastopol counterparts.
The Kookaburras managed to recover from an early deficit to walk away with one rink win, courtesy of Simon Cornock's side, but it was little consolation on the day.
It was a vital win for Webbcona, which was victorious in two of its first three games but had not come close since.
McArthur revealed the team had taken some time to adjust to each other, but was heading in the right direction.
"We are now starting to work together," she said.
"The rinks are now more settled and everyone is getting to know each other’s game.”
Webconna still remains in eighth position, but is tied in points with seventh-placed City Oval, which has actually won one less game.
The Hawks will travel to meet Webbcona next weekend in what proves to be a crucial match-up.
McArthur said her club had been buoyed by Saturday's win, but could not afford to be complacent.
"We can never take any game lightly," she said.
"It's a really positive feeling to be taking a win into the next game, but we have to be focused.”
It was a disappointing result for City Oval on the weekend, particularly given their triumph in the previous round.
The Hawks were handed a 91-81 defeat by Queenscliff, which has now risen to second spot on the ladder.
Meanwhile, Torquay snared an important victory, winning 108-84 over rivals Ocean Grove.
Lara also had a big win, defeating Avenue 132-66, while Victoria remains undefeated after its 101-63 thumping of Geelong City.
