I KNOW the Brownlow Medal isn't all about the red carpet but seriously, the Brownlow frocks rock.
Two of my really great girlfriends have been invited alongside their partners to the medal tonight and as much as I understand that the night is about the players achievements throughout the season, the girls are just as deserving of a night out for all of the support they provide for their partners.
It's not an easy gig and as much as I love football and watching my partner play, I truly love when the season ends and we get our weekends and freedom back for a short while. Plus the washing load is halved!
I have loved listening in to their thoughts surrounding the night and can't wait to tune in to Prime at 7.30pm and see all the glitz and glamour.
However, if you're a bit over all the footy, why not treat yourself and head out for dinner and get away from the TV? One of my favourite Ballarat restaurants is the Lake View Hotel. It has recently been revamped and is now a more family friendly restaurant with delicious meals. My favourite choice is the vege calzone pizza matched with a glass of Wolf Blass Shiraz. Yum!
