Family ties have lured Darmody to Hampden league premier Koroit for season 2016.
Darmody has committed to the Saints, eager to play alongside older brother Michael as the club chases a hat-trick of flags.
The 24-year-old arrives at Koroit following a two-year stint in the Ballarat league and five seasons in elite TAC Cup and VFL environments at North Ballarat.
Darmody’s exit follows the confirmed loss of key players from last season Mitch Jenkins, Brendan Howard and Jayden Orr.
The trio played in City’s 2013 and 2014 grand final triumphs.
