The Roosters will hold two of the eight night fixtures across the competition in 2016, with clashes against Geelong on Friday, April 22 and Port Melbourne on Saturday, May 21 part of the new fixture.
North Ballarat will head to Bendigo’s Queen Elizabeth Oval for another night clash against Essendon in round two on Friday, April 15.
The Roosters are poised to play for the first time without former AFL aligned partner North Melbourne in round one, where they tackle fellow standalone side Coburg.
This will double as the first match in charge for new coach Marc Greig, who has taken over at the helm from long-time leader Gerard FitzGerald.
The match against Coburg is set down for Saturday, April 9, with the last round of the home and away season scheduled for the weekend of August 27 and 28.
