What's on? Two new exhibitions open in Ballarat

BALLARAT is in full bloom this spring and to celebrate the Art Gallery of Ballarat is hosting the most comprehensive exhibition of Australia botanical art ever held in this country. And it opened today.

Capturing Flora: 300 years of Australian Botanical Art has been creating lots of talk around town and those who have already seen it are raving about the exhibition.

The Art Gallery of Ballarat in Lydiard Street North is open from 9am - 5pm each day and entry costs $12 for an adult and $8 for concession. Children enter for free.

The other exhibition which opened today is the Winter Wooley Warmers. This is a display by the Ballarat & District Spinners & Weaver's where you go along and see head, finger and toe warmers along with wraps and covers being made. This is held at the Ballarat Conservatory in the Botanical Gardens and is open daily from 9am - 5pm. Entry is free.

As for me, I'm teaming up with my mum in the kitchen to bake some goodies for my sister's hens party this weekend. Does anyone know of a good punch recipe?
