BALLARAT Greyhound Racing Club will unveil its brand new Morshead Park complex to the public this evening.
The club is holding a special picnic meeting to test its facilities before opening race night next Wednesday.
Club manager Ken Bennett said a 25-race program had been established, with fields of four greyhounds to run in each.
While there will not be any betting on the races, the night will have full catering facilities and will be free of charge.
Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club’s $3.2 million upgrade includes a new track and lighting, as well as an overhaul to the patron facilities, including improved kitchen and bar areas and an attractive new entrance.
