A Ballarat man was caught with a bag of cannabis inside his vehicle after performing a number of burnouts, a court has heard.
Benjamin McLean, 20, appeared at the Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to charges of possessing a drug of dependence and improper use of a motor vehicle.
Police prosecutor Senior Constable Pepe Brown told the court McLean was observed on August 2 this year spinning the wheels of his vehicle around a number of corners.
Police stopped him and found a bag containing three grams of cannabis inside the vehicle.
Defence lawyer Natalie Heynes said her client was a full-time carer for his mother.
Magistrate Michelle Hodgson sentenced McLean to a 12-month good behaviour bond and ordered he pay $200 to the court fund.
