$1 MILLION to reconnect the Avenue of Honour.

The people of Ballarat cannot get a pedestrian overpass at Mt Clear to make the children of Ballarat safer yet government can find $1 million for the Avenue of Honour project.
I am certainly in favour of paying homage to the memory of these men, their sacrifice and the importance of their legacy in our culture, but surely some simple signs and a map would have solved the problem?
Simple signs and maps are the method which most visitors use to navigate their way around the battlefields of the Somme!
