The Cats have confirmed the signing of ex-Miners guards Sean Massey and Jack Sullivan for the 2016 Central Highlands Football League season.
Massey shapes as potentially the most exciting pick-up, with club president Simon Dwyer labeling the recruit a great sidekick to key forward Will Young.
Dwyer said Massey, who has a background in junior football, possessed a good set of hands and was a nice kick.
“He looks like he’ll be a good fit for us,” Dwyer said.
“It’ll just give us another key target."
Dwyer said the pair – which played a part in the Miners’ South East Australian Basketball League campaign in 2015 – had arrived at the club through a connection with assistant coach Dan Wehrung.
The Cats, which will again be coached by Kal Young, are looking to improve on a ninth-placed finish to last season.
