In its 21st year, the festival is set to be bigger than ever, with ten days of classical music by international performers. 

Organs of the Ballarat Goldfields founder and artistic director Sergio de Pieri said the renowned festival was on par with acclaimed international concerts in Rome, London, Paris and further abroad.  

“The standard and talent of the musicians at this festival has become so great that there is no difference between it and other renowned classical music concerts all over Europe,” Mr de Pieri said. “It just keeps getting better each year and has cemented Ballarat to be among the world’s capital cities for classical music.”

Internationally renowned organist, composer and teacher said many of the recitals had already sold out. 

“The superb style of music speaks to people,” Mr de Pieri said. “The more they listen, the more they understand and feel the music.”
