The 18-year-old’s Studio Art work titled Seven Hours Difference focuses on the differences between the lives of Australians and Indonesians, given their geographic proximity.
Ms Anstis said she was inspired to produce the work after visiting Indonesia in June 2015 as part of a school trip.
“When I came back (to Australia) the things i noticed were different, so I took pictures to match the Indonesian experience.”
While Ms Anstis will study Criminology and Psychology at RMIT this year, she said she would continue with art and freelance photography in her spare time.
“For me its always been a hobby, and just because I’ll be studying full time doesn’t mean it won’t still be a passion.”
The exhibition will be on display at the Ian Potter Centre from March 11 until July.
