Abrams believes the senior side can make the leap and reach the Central Highlands Football League finals series in 2016 after the 13th-placed finish to his first year in charge.
The Towners’ playing stocks have been strengthened, according to Abrams, who has helped land six key recruits to the senior squad.
Headlining those new faces is Rhy Gieschen, the son of former AFL umpire Jeff.
Gieschen joins the Towners from Mid Gippsland league side Thorpdale and is expected to be a strong addition to the defensive line.
It is down back that Abrams has placed a major focus in the pre-season, believing rival key forwards had been the difference in a number of close defeats last year.
Mal Douglas, from White Hills, and Tyson Ednie, from Centrals Trinity Beach, are others expected to bolster the defensive division.
Returning to the club is Sean Gleeson and Riley Adams, while small forward/midfielder Jarrod McArdle arrives from Redan.
Abrams said the 2016 recruiting drive had been more about a quantity over quality approach.
“This year to date we have signed six and six who can all have senior impact,” Abrams said.
Dunnstown finished the 2015 home and away campaign with five wins from 17 rounds.
