THE parliamentary inquiry into the CFA training complex at Fiskville is still receiving documents and information in the lead up to the completion of the report.

The final report is due to be completed in March, however, the committee is still compiling information.
What is expected to be the last public hearings for the inquiry were held at the end of last week.
The chair of the committee charged with handling the inquiry Bronwyn Halfpenny said it was not expected there would be any more public hearings however, it was possible if more new information continued to come to light.
“We want to rap it up, we don’t want to drag it out but we owe it to people to make sure if there are questions, we find the answers,” she said.
She said the committee was still receiving documents as of last Monday.
“Information is still coming in and we are still seeking certain information surrounding financial matters,” she said. The final report has already been delayed following the huge response to the inquiry. The Fiskville facility was closed in March last year following new discoveries concerning water contamination.
Last week during some of the final hearings senior CFA managers told the inquiry they couldn't remember how much money they had spent defending the Fiskville fire training facility from contamination claims.
The executives also told an inquiry they weren't aware of possible contamination at the site before whistleblower and former CFA chief officer Brian Potter went to the media in late 2011.
