The 100m specialist means fellow Australian representative at the 2014 junior track and field titles, Maddie Coates has been given 1.5m.
Basic, 20, stamped herself as one of Australia's most promising young track stars when she broken Olympic Gold medlaist Sally Pearson's national junior 100m record in 2014 to qualify for the worlds.
Like Coates, she is eligible to again compete at what are now known as the world under-20 championships this year.
Geelong's Angela Byrt has 2.5m, while Ballarat's reigning Stawell Gift champion Grace O'Dwyer is off the same mark - just behind stablemates Holly Dobbyn (3.5m) and Tara Domaschenz (4.5m).
O’Dwyer’s performances in a busy program off tougher marks this year have included being a 400m finalist at Daylesford and 300m finalists at St Albans,
Domaschenz goes into her hometown Gift off a second in the 300m final at Ringwood on Saturday. Dobbyn has had only a limited program this season, with her latest outing being the 400m final at Rye on January 9.
Basic contests the last of seven heats and Coates the first.
