THE Ballarat Netball Association hosted the Victorian Teachers Games netball matches last week.
A total of 79 teams from all over the state competed in women’s elite, intermediate and social, and mixed intermediate and social categories.
A team of Ballarat umpires did a great job over the two-day event, along with canteen supervisor Reet Lenaghan, umpire coordinator and overall scorer Glenda Jones, University of Ballarat students Caitlyn, Emma, Shannon, Jordy and Cassie and games coordinator Anne McCartin.
The BNA looks forward to hosting the games again in 2013. UB Ballarat Pride will host two clinics today for children aged between 8 and 15 years.
The first clinic runs from 10am until noon, while the second runs from 1 to 3pm.
UB Pride players will take groups for specialised drills, and spaces are still available on the day.
The BNA junior summer competition for 11/unders, 13/unders and 15/unders begins on Monday, October 22.
Competition for 17/unders starts on Thursday, October 25.
