Oliver, who played at the Saints between 2001 and 2003, has requested a clearance to Kyambram District Football League side Murchison.
The 33-year-old played 17 matches for the Bombers during 2015, including the losing semi-final to Ballan.
Oliver was lured to Buninyong from Numurkah to play a season with brother-in-law Beau Guest.
He is seeking clearance to Murchison alongside Beaufort defender Jacob Ewart, who has lodged a transfer request from the Crows.
Ewart has been back and forward between the Crows and Murchison in recent years and has again decided to leave the Central Highlands competition.
Meanwhile, former Ballan senior coach Mark Williams and reigning Geoff Taylor Medal winner Shaun Campbell have lodged their clearances away from the Blues.
Williams is bound for Newport Power in the Western Region league, while Campbell is off to Wagga Tigers in the Riverina competition.
