Update 11.34am: Powercor has switched off power to 5481 customers in Delacombe and surrounding suburbs. Power was switched off at 10.33am and is expected to be turned on mid-afternoon.
The incident occured when an electrical transfer at the Albins Transmissions site at 24 Wiltshire Lane caught fire. The fire has since been put out.
One lane of traffic was shut during the fire, but has since been reopened.
Earlier: ONE lane of Wiltshire Lane in Delacombe is currently closed due to a fire near the powerlines.
One CFA truck is currently responding to the incident, and police are on scene redirecting traffic.
The fire was reported to authorities at around 9.50am this morning.
Powercor are currently en route to the area to disconnect power from the concerned lines.
