Twice a year the organisation puts out a call for more volunteers to come forward and take part in the Lifeline training program.
Lifeline Ballarat manager Kellie Dunn said it was hoped another 10 to 15 people would join the team.
“I wouldn’t say it is difficult to do but it does require commitment and time be able to invest in it,” she said.
“We want people who are passionate about helping other people and will do what they need to do to be able to get the skills to be able to do that.”
Ms Dunn said the number of people calling Lifeline was increasing each year.
“There is forever enough reasons for people to call, we just need to be able to meet that response.”
