The 15-year-old midfielder was given the opportunity by Ballarat Red Devils coach James Robinson to train at a number of prestigious clubs in England.
Robinson, who plays a big role in guiding Brandon, organised the youngster to spend a week each at Crewe Alexandra, Blackpool and Tottenham Hotspurs, training with their junior squads.
His father, Dale, accompanied him on the trip.
Dale said the experience of living and breathing soccer in England was "hard to describe."
"All I can say is 'wow,'" Dale said.
"Their passion for the game, the commitment and quality of the players, the facilities ... it was amazing.
"You have to be there to see it."
Brandon, who is in year 11 at St Patrick's College, has already forged a promising junior career.
A regular in the Devils' under-18 team – and currently training with the senior squad – Brandon has represented his state at the under-13 and under-14 levels.
He was also invited to trial for Australia's under-16 team, though he didn't quite manage to make the cut.
Dale said his son relished the opportunity to see what it's like to train full-time in one of the most soccer-mad countries in the world.
"Brandon said it was the best thing that ever happened to him," Dale said.
"He found it extremely enjoyable and felt really comfortable with the boys.
"He also learned what he needs to do to improve to become a better player. It highlighted some areas that need to get better.”
One of the most fascinating discoveries for both Dale and Brandon was just how much time the juniors put into honing their craft.
Dale said it was a big change from what they're used to in Australia.
"They get there at 9.30 in the morning and leave at 4.30. Those boys only go to school a couple of days each week - the rest they're playing soccer.
“It's a lot different.”
