A man has died and two others have been taken to hospital after a head-on collision near the Victoria-New South Wales border on Wednesday morning.

Police believe the man was trying to overtake another vehicle when he collided with a second car in Robinvale, in the state's north-west.
Paramedics treated the 32-year-old Bannerton man but he died of his injuries before he made it to a hospital.
The man's passenger, an 11-year-old girl, was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver of the other vehicle, was also airlifted to Melbourne with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the crash happened at around 8.30am on Wednesday at the intersection of Crete Road and Robinvale-Sea Lake Road.
The cause of the collision is still being established.
