State Coroner for Victoria Sara Hinchey and Victorian Coroner Jacqui Hawkins will share their experiences at the Loreto College Ballarat’s International Women’s Day breakfast in March.
They will offer advice and answer questions to help empower others and celebrate achievements women have made within the community.
Ms Hinchey and Ms Hawkins are former Ballarat women who attended Loreto College.
Ms Hinchey, a former barrister of almost 20 years, was appointed as a County Court Judge in May 2015. In December 2015, she was appointed as the State Coroner for Victoria.
Ms Hawkins was appointed as a Victorian Coroner in January 2014.
Loreto College principal Judith Potter said it was unique and impressive that two past students of the college were working as coroners.
“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome both Sara and Jacqui to the International Women’s Day breakfast. Both women are not only successful within their careers but within so many aspects of life our past pupils and current pupils attending the event will be privileged to hear them speak,” Ms Potter said.
“Sara and Jacqui’s visit will be an exciting event for all of those attending the event, particularly the students who will undoubtedly relate and engage with them and their experiences as Loreto girls.”
Ms Hinchey and Ms Hawkins will speak at Loreto College Ballarat’s IWD breakfast on Tuesday, 8 at the Ballarat Golf Club.
