CONSTRUCTION of Ballarat’s newest suburb is well underway, with commercial land now available in the Lucas Business Park and Town Centre.
The first of 120 new homes are being built at Lucas, while works have begun on stage one of the business park and town centre which features a plaza, main street, village green, town square and $5 million community centre.
Integra development manager Nick Grylewicz said it was the first development to go to market in the Ballarat West Growth Area and would be the largest master-planned community in Ballarat’s history.
“Lucas is emerging as one of the most dynamic urban growth areas in regional Victoria,” Mr Grylewicz said.
He said the business park was strategically located on the corner of Sturt Street and Dyson Drive and had prime commercial land in a main street or business park setting.
Business park lots are being marketed by Ray White Commercial Ballarat director Trevor Booth, who said it would accommodate a wide range of businesses and embrace the latest trends in design, facilities and technology.
“Lucas Business Park is Ballarat’s first NBN ready business park,” Mr Booth said. “Lucas offers a range of land sizes, catering for a wide range of uses. Flexible lots can also be easily designed to create the best accommodation solution for the purchaser’s business needs.”
Mr Booth said expressions of interest for the park closed Friday.
Mr Grylewicz said the town centre was designed as a dynamic, mixed use centre.
Stage one includes the Woolworths supermarket, a medical centre and 25 speciality stores, which will face onto the main street, with parking hidden behind the buildings.
