Ms Gillard, along with several of her ministers, is in Launceston today for a community cabinet meeting, the fifth to be held in Tasmania.
It was the first time the Prime Minister has spoken publicly since Alan Jones' comments about her late father were revealed on Sunday. The comments, for which Jones has since apologised, sparked outrage and led to calls for the shock jock to be taken off air.
